This is what the ToucamPro II (840) looks like with filter and adapter

Despite the fact that I haven’t quite got started taking photos with the camera, I will still write down a few lines about the model.

The main reason to why I choose this model was because there were so many happy users with the old model 745.

In addition, it is extremely easy to up on the adapter. However, if you intend too use the camera to take pictures dimmer objects there are better models.

In order to get god pictures of the planets, the most important thing is that the camera can take many pictures during a shorter time period. This model should be able to take up to 60 pictures per second. Picture quality is 1.2 Megapixels (1280*960) during quick picture taking/ shots and when used as a video camera 640*480 VGA.

According to the information on the Internet shall this camera model is identical to the old one inside the shell.

This is what it looks like with the original lens on. The lens is very easy to take off. The price on this model varies, depending on where you buy it, but it should cost around 1000kr (autumn 2003).

.

You can by the adapter on many places over the internet. I bought it via the Astroteknink. The price is around 300kr.

The above filter is a necessity to be able to take good pictures and costs about 340kr in Sweden.

Some even use a Baader contrast filter in order to get any better focus.

The software, which is included, can be used for astrophotography. However, you do need a program for stacking and to be able to divide your videos into separate frames. I personally use K3CCD tolls as well as Registax. These you can down load free.
